about

After receiving numerous requests from our friends and fans wanting to purchase our Christmas album, we to finally made one!

The requests crescendoed when we first performed “I Have Seen the King.” In late November 2012, we were asked to perform a song in a Christmas concert. The songs throughout the concert were to portray the various pieces and perspectives of the story of Jesus’ birth. For our contribution, we were asked to perform a song about the wise men. While “We Three Kings” is a lovely song, we wanted to perform a song that was a little more historically accurate than one referring to the magi as kings from the orient. Plus, Mr. Something just couldn’t get the picture out of his head of the scene from Arrested Development where Ann is pulling a stubborn camel while trying to sing “We Three Kings” during an inner beauty pageant. Needless to say, we needed a different song. Thus, we wrote a Magi song.

Knowing that a Christmas CD is what our fans wanted to hear, we chose a couple of our favorite Christmas songs, wrote a special Mary and Joseph song (quite fitting for us in that we are a Mr. and Mrs. after all) and headed to our top notch recording studio - our apartment bedroom closet.

We reached a new milestone with this record in that we achieved a band goal to perform every instrument on every song. While we usually record at least most of the instruments on our songs, this is the first time we performed our own drums.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Listening!

Love,
Mr. & Mrs. Something

Track Name: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel
Redeem thy captive Israel
That into exile drear is gone
Far from the face of God’s dear Son

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, O come, thou Dayspring bright
Pour on our souls thy healing light
Dispel the long night’s lingering gloom
And pierce the shadows of the tomb

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, thou Lord of David’s Key
The royal door fling wide and free
Safeguard for us the heavenward road
And bar the way to death’s abode

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel
Track Name: God With Us
Too long have I lived among those who don’t believe
I am a girl betrothed, sacred and clean
But now I’ve been told by the spirit that I will conceive
Afraid as I was, I’ve been filled with peace
So as you’ve said may it be

Too long have I lived among those who hate peace
I am a man of peace when I speak
That’s why I had been planning to peacefully leave
But an angel said in a dream
Hold on and just believe

So we journeyed far
Where our roots are
And there our Savior came
Though infant small
He would take the fall
God with us to bear our shame

Too long have lived among those without peace
(Too long have lived among those without grace)
Now the true peace has lived within me
(Too long have I lived among those who cause harm)
Now I hold the Son of Peace right here in my arms

So we journeyed far
Where our roots are
And there our Savior came
Though infant small
He would take the fall
God with us to bear our shame
Track Name: I Have Seen the King
I have never been to church
Or read a bible in my life
But I have seen the future
In the glowing lights of the midnight sky

So my friends and I set out to find the place
Where the future begins

We arrived in Jerusalem
Sought the learned and the holy men
All their preachers and their scholars
Said the King would be born in Bethlehem

But to our surprise and their demise, not one of them
Came along

To see the King

Like God’s chosen people of old
We were led by heavenly fire
Now I have seen the future
In the glowing light of a child’s eyes

So we offered up our treasures and laid them down
At the child’s feet

For we had met the King

I have seen the King
I have traveled far
Beheld him with my eyes
I have met the King
Son of God and son of man
I fell down before the King

I have seen the King
I have met the
I fell down before the King
I have seen the King
I have met the
I fell down before the King
Track Name: Go Tell It On the Mountain
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born

When I was seeker
I sought both night and day
I asked the Lord to help me
And He showed me the way

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born

He made me a watchman
Upon a city wall
And if I am a Christian
I am the least of all

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born
